Repeatedly picking fights with Fox News and Megan Kelly is one of the most puzzling things Donald Trump has done during this campaign. Why would he wrestle with the most dominant cable news organization, especially the network that attracts the most Republicans and Conservatives? Despite the fact that talking heads on CNN, NBC and ABC have constantly trashed Trump and everything about Trump, he never attacks or points figures at them. Lawrence O’Donnell, Chris Mathews and others at MSNBC call Trump everything under the sun yet Trump holds his fire. Why? There are four clear reasons for that strategy: There is no down-side to attacking the media, even Fox News; Trump grabs headlines from the rest of the media that hates Fox due to professional envy at their high ratings; Democrats and Independents are delighted when someone of stature like Trump attacks Fox; and Trump crowds out Ted Cruz in all the news cycles until he drops another controversial bomb. And Fox News falls for this ploy every time by complaining and whining about Trump’s attacks. Dumb. That’s why the news is Trump all day, everyday. — *H. Trump Growing The GOP with…Democrats
It’s clear that Donald Trump confused acting “Presidential” at the last debate with acting like he just had a frontal lobotomy. His performance looked like Jack Nicholson after his brain operation in the movie “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest”. He was calm, reserved and humble. In other words he was not being Trump. If that’s what America has to look forward to then it will be a boring first term. Of course the main problem is that if he keeps acting like Trump then he won’t get elected in the first place. His negatives are so sky high even Hillary’s negatives start looking acceptable in comparison to much of the electorate. Trump even brags that he’s expanding the GOP by attracting Democrats and others who seldom voted before. Well, for heaven’s sake, the LAST thing the Republican Party needs is more people who think like Democrats. There are already too many RINO’s in the GOP. That’s why they’re in trouble now. Adding more democrat-lite people to the GOP is like building a wooden house on top of a termite hill. And poor Ben Carson. How can he now endorse Trump after Trump called him a “psychopath” during the campaign? Unless Ben fell off a building and landed on his head, it’s clear that Trump bribed him with a possible Cabinet position. The word “Sellout” does not even begin to describe the tragedy of a God-fearing person like Carson endorsing a snake oil salesman like Trump.
It’s Time For Rubio and Kasich to Bow Out
Based on their less-than-stellar performances during this primary season, it’s clear that Senator Rubio and Gov. Kasich need to exit stage left. TODAY! Rubio is now deemed by the GOP electorate to be not ready for prime time. We can all debate the reasons for this until the pyramids erode down to ant hills but it won’t change the obvious fact that Republicans will not give Rubio the nod in this cycle. Maybe he’s too young. Maybe he doesn’t have the requisite gravitas. Maybe his Gang of Eight association is an anchor around his neck. Whatever!! The bottom line: it’s not Marco’s year. He earned zero delegates in the 3/8 primaries. Rubio should now throw whatever little political capital he has left behind Cruz to stop Trump in Florida. Simple. Clear. John Kasich has not won a single state. Not even one. His best finish was a distant second early in the primary process. Hells bells, even Rubio has out-performed Kasich. He has NO shot at the nomination even if he wins Ohio by 95 points. So why is he still running? It looks like Kasich wants the Veep nomination from either Trump or Cruz. That’s his ONLY play.even if there is a “brokered” convention. And getting the Veep nod from Trump is problematic because Kasich is so much the opposite of Trump. It would be a match made in hell. But a Veep slot with Cruz seems viable especially since Kasich never attacked Cruz. A true Conservative running with a moderate Veep is a ticket that would defeat Billary Clinton. – *H. FEAR Always Handcuffs Republicans
The Republican Party has always been afraid of…everything. That’s why Trump is whipping their candidates in the primaries and that’s why Trump will spank the GOP Establishment if it tries to wrest the nomination from him.
Republicans are afraid of the media, Obama and Democrats. They’re afraid to offend Independents. They’re afraid of getting blamed for a government shutdown. They’re afraid of unions and illegal aliens. They’re afraid of Latinos and Blacks. They’re afraid of their own shadows. It’s a wonder Republicans can get out of bed in the morning and probably don’t walk past cemeteries at night.
The only people Republicans don’t fear are Conservatives and the Tea Party.
Fear is also why Republican candidates didn’t attack Trump during the primaries; they were afraid to offend his supporters who they coveted in case he collapsed. While that might have been a valid concept, it just confirms they always operate out of fear. Although Bush pushed back weakly and Cruz slapped him lightly, Trump traveled through all the debates unsullied until last week.
At long last Cruz and Rubio are stepping on the gas and not acting like they’re afraid. Finally. But it might be too late. Many people (especially Trump voters) will see this aggression as acts of late-term desperation rather than new-found courage.
Sharpton Threatens to Leave
The less-than-honorable Reverend Al Sharpton threatened to leave America if
Donald Trump becomes President.
Well, it looks like CP-USA might reconsider its Ted Cruz endorsement if
that’s true. Getting rid of Sharpton could be reason enough to vote for
Trump. Now if Sharpton also promised to take Jessie Jackson with him then
we will recommend everybody vote for Trump.
Of course they would both have to promise to never come back.
